It's not hard to be good at it honestly, but I just got bored of it, got better things to do, if I wanted to practice strategy or something, video games are more fun for example

Fire Emblem is literally shit, people are just idiots to like it, especially the newer ones, crap story, crap strategy (eg: doesn't even matter what direction you are facing since they simplified it taking half the strategy out of it and instead just made broken OP classes) and so on, Fire Emblem was great up until the third (the Japan-only one) of the GBA FE games.

Valkyria Chronicles is one of the most fun game series out there and been a fan of it since the very first one always following the PSP versions, fun story, fun mechanics and actually requires you to think strategically in higher difficulties
