Honnestly, I think Pokemon games should go back to 2D. So far, Pokemon games in 3D have been pretty mid, when they were not just pure trash.

Funny thing is, it could be argued a lot of Gen 1 pokemon were copied from Dragon Quest

Looks cute.
"Familiar meets fresh" got a chuckle out of me. It's not ripping off, it's "familiar"

It looks like they took Pokemon and fixed a ton of the annoying bits. You can climb up ledges, they aren't one-way. You can jump. You can scale cliffs. The game is in real time and ~~Pokemon~~ Monkemon (?) can follow you around and act/attack at the same time, more like an RTS/Pikmin game than turn-based. You capture critters by lassoing them? Interesting.
