Regular cable SSD ?

1. Am I fine using just a regular one to one USB C to USB A cable if I am using a Wii u? Or do I need a y cable for SSD as well ( modded Wii u with nussplii, wup installer, NooDS)

2. Can I use one SSD for nussplii , wup installer, NooDS (Is there any special steps that I need to take for one SSD to be used by all three plugins)?

3. Do I just plug in my SSD into my Wii u and it will format it for me?

You can try one cable but if it can't stay power on and read data then you need a y cable.
