    I was thinking about phones and there bootloader failsafes... and so I was wondering if it could be a bit of both (software+hardware) and intended (so to explain the difference between the 2 messages). My other theory being, a fuse is triggered...

    I'm convinced there is a part of software (be it system or chip related). It's only a guess considering, there shouldn't be any difference like that because for my part I updated the firmware using a PUP and still this message stayed the same.

    FYI : warning message at startup is the same as what was showcased 5y ago : @Cobra_1977 : have you bought your console that way?

    Has anyone tried launching a game from an external hard drive? Can anyone? I don't have one to test by myself unfortunately.

    well, today i tried my ps5 slim and it plays ps plus games via streaming....!!! it needs premium account of course so it is not that bad, i can enjoy some games
