sorry, i meant when you initially setup the r4i gold. i downloaded the wood 1.64 firmware and the upgrade patch. but there doesn't seem to be a patch for 7.1.0-16U. the highest i see is 6.2.0-12, but i hear people say you can set it up with the 7.1.0-16 3ds firmware- zackiaustin

hey guys, i was wondering.. i have a 3DS with version 7.1.0-16U and an r4i gold. do i need a DS to i guess "activate" or install the patch on the 3DS? can I do it from the 3DS? or can I even do it at all? i keep getting the error message. thanks for the help!- zackiaustin
