I experimented with this a couple of weeks ago with no success. My goal was to dump legally purchased games on my unhacked switch and build an NSP file that could be installed on my offline hacked switch. Hopefully something like that will come out eventually
When attempting to build with the latest commit, I'm seeing this error:

I hacked the demo to remove the save file limit yesterday. I confirmed today that I was able to import my save file (with 4:40 play time) into the retail version just fine! Now I just have to decide if I want to keep playing or wait for my Wayfarer's Edition to get here on Friday...
Ran through this tutorial today to install 5.1.0 on my 4.0.1 switch without burning fuses. It works great. 5.1.0 with 5 burned fuses! Thanks for the awesome work rajkosto!
I patched the demo using SliverSrufer's process (on page 5 of this thread) and it works great. I'm about 4.5 hours in and working on the 4th character's chapter 1. I'm gonna try to finish all of the character's first chapters before I get my copy on Friday!
Also thanks to everyone who has...
Just wanted to say that I did this to my switch running 4.1.0 yesterday and it worked great.
I actually considered going the hekate restore route that derekzoolander mentioned but it would be much slower and would be rewriting a lot of unnecessary data to the emmc on your switch. It should work...
What I did was copy the boot.dat to the root of my SD card & drop the hekate payload on the root of my SD card as well - that way you can launch the hekate payload from the SX Launcher if you want to.
I'm actually using linux & could see all of the file etc... I wrote zeros to the entire sd card with 'dd'.
I've actually figured out a somewhat-hacky solution.

I feel like I'm missing something here. I've got the sd2vita working (I can see my big SD card in the system settings) but none of my games are showing up on the home screen. When I try to launch vitashell to refresh the live area, it says that it is corrupted. I think it would work just fine if...
