You can also fix the touch calibration.
Edit /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.confg
And change InputClass Section to:
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "evdev touchscreen catchall"
MatchIsTouchscreen "on"
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
Driver "evdev"...
I've figured out how the town hall and train station colors work and it's not as random as it seems. It uses the two least significant bits of each byte:
0x5C738 – TOWN HALL COLOR
1100 0010 = C2 = green
1010 0110 = A6 = green
1110 1010 = EA = green
0111 0110 = 76 = green
1110 0010 = E2 = green...
I have a mirror of Marc's editor I created a few days ago because I want to change some things and add more. Right now it is just modified to fit my site. You can access it here: http://mianimalcrossing.com/acnledit/
Animal Crossing uses old save keys, so no problem with that. Just dump your cartridge with gateway and then rename the file extension to .3DZ. You can use your savegame just doing that (I tested it myself).
You can do that with the SaveDataFiler SDK Tool. Load the .3DS, export the savegame with SaveDataFiler, load the .3DZ and import the savegame. I've done it with Animal Crossing saves and works great :)
