Correction: I've used MBR every time. Disk 1 and 2 are two of the drives I've been testing with.
@Plstic, I've been using Wiimms which is how I found out about my WBFS corruption with Wii Backup Loader and is finally how I've gotten games to work. I'm glad to have a workaround but would love...
Correct, I've used Wii Backup Manager to format the drive as a single FAT32 partition on GPT, but also tried NTFS and WBFS partitions. HDD, both USB powered and external powered. I've also tried an SSD. HDDs were thoroughly checked with Western Digital's diagnostic tool to confirm no issues with...
Thanks for reaching out!
- Win10 1809
- Yes, ran as Admin
What I see when things aren't working are:
- Loading games on the Wii via USB Loader GX just give me a black screen
- Loading games on Dolphin (latest beta or stable) also fail with a black screen
- using `wit verify` reports !H0-ERR...
As an update to this, no difference using the Win32 version.
However, converting to wbfs files using `wit` and then transferring them to a FAT32 drive appears to be working for me, so at least I have a solution for now! There are a few games that aren't working, but I'm guessing that might be a...
Maybe I'll try the Win32 version instead of the Win64 version...
I feel like I've tried all the combinations. I've brought the file to my local drive from the USB and converted it there, and I've tried USB drive to USB drive. I feel like I've even tried just making the WBFS file and copying it...
I've tried different USB devices and different USB cables. I'll try a different computer and see what that does, but what's the most confusing is that `wit` appears to be working without issues.
The version of Wii Backup Manager I'm using is the same as your screenshot.
That's what I'm saying: my dump appears to be good as CleanRip reports no issues with the when it verifies the dump. Additionally, I can play the original disc just fine and I can play the dumped ISO just fine, and the checksum matches.
I've dumped and redumped multiple times to multiple drives...
External hard drive, but I've tried an SD card too. FAT32 usually, but I've tried all three. Though none of that seems to matter because if I convert to a wbfs file on my computer and just try to run the game with Dolphin, it fails, and then checking it with `wit` I see checksum errors.
Is...
Getting into this universe super late after replacing the drive on my parent's Wii.
Spent most of Christmas break trying to debug black screen loading issues on USB Loader GX, but finally realized that after taking good dumps with CleanRip (hashes come out okay), using Wii Backup Loader (build...
