Hardware JST connector dock LED - which size?

Hi Guys, I am a little bit desperate, because I can't find the right JST connector size for the switch dock LED. Does anybody knows the correct pitch etc. of this little thing? It seems to be the same connector as for the speaker build in the console itself. Just asking because I have plenty...

    Hardware Switch Backlight voltage?

I was able to scrape some isolation off the cable and could tin it. Afterwards I soldered a piece of 0.15mm wire to it and it works like a charm!

    Hardware Switch Backlight voltage?

I swapped over the cases to confirm damgages and found out, that the repaired motherboard works fine with the other display/backlight. So I attached the known "good" board in the other case and there is also a backlight issue. What I've not seen during the previous attempts was, that the...

    Hardware Switch Backlight voltage?

But should't I get the voltage despite of a broken cable at the connector itself?

    Hardware Switch Backlight voltage?

You mean the ribbon cable of the backlight connector? It worked before the usb-c repair. So i don't suspect the ribbon cable.

    Hardware Switch Backlight voltage?

I replaced a broken USB-C port and it is docking fine. But for any reason the backlight isn't turning on. Then I measured the voltage at the backlight connector of my own switch and get around 14 volts if it's turned on. The console where I am working on, shows just the standby voltage of...

Hardware Which chip could be faulty?

Hi, I just bought a faulty Mainboard for a Switch and try to getting it to work. I measure all capacitors around the Chip, but there are no shorts to ground. The P13USB has much flux around, so I assume this one was replaced. If I plug it in I just measure around 195 mA getting pulled from the...

Hardware Switch repair question / Low power charge / won't turn on

Hey guys, I have bought a faulty Switch which won't turn on. I put it on a USB meter and measure a charging current of 0.470 Amps - so far so good. But it won't go to fast charge and neither turning on or giving me a backligh - not even a change in the current. I changed already M92T36 but no...

Hardware Nintendo Switch dock solid light => no signal

Hey guys, I actually got a lot with 53 Nintendo Switch dock mainboards and try to fix as many as possible. There are many boards with an issue where after putting in the console the light is solid and the screen of the switch goes black, but the dock isn't outputting any signal. I checked...

    Hardware Error 2134-0501

Unfortunately I tried to replace the BQ24193 without a microscope for further inspections and realised later on, that I have blown away some of the little tiny resistors of the chip. So I messed it up and if I remember correctly I blew 3-4 resistors and I am unable to find them. :-(

Hardware Mulitple USB-C pads destroyed any rescue?

I tried that, but in fact there isn't much to scrape in this area. :-/ But I have to admit it is tough work for my 101 lesson. ^^ I guess someone else could had handle it. The advice with clear nail polish is a good point! I will try that in the future. Thanks!

Hardware Mulitple USB-C pads destroyed any rescue?

Just for information: I wasn't able to repair the ripped of pads as a consequence of to less contact points from the vias (unfortunately the vias does not exit underneath the board). In result of that it was to flimsy with a tiny copper strain. Nevertheless I was able to get the charging...

Hardware Mulitple USB-C pads destroyed any rescue?

Yes, it is a big investment. No, I just want to push me to microsoldering, where such microscopes shall be mandatory. :-)
