    I have exactly same issue like you have, also I bought mine with already installed chip, it works very inconsistently, almost always stucking on power on/reboot, only way is to either press and hold the power button to trigger another hard reset or press reset on modchip

    flex cable connection, apparently, my understanding is that when switch reboots it should send high voltage over the B wire to signal modchip reset, and if the wire is too long or too thick it has higher resistance than it should and modchip doesn't interprets it as high enough to do a reset...
