    Thanks, yeah the card is recognises in the vWii, and it is empty of vWii saves obviously. So what I did was find a 2GB card I had in my old Wii, moved the conents off that, reloaded everything again, and it worked in the sense that the boot error I was seeing stopped. I will close this post...

    Another question is how can I tell my WiiU can actually see my card, and how can I test that it can still read/write from it?

    What I am concerned about is that anonymous data delete I did in the 'data management' section. That unknown data was deleted, and I suspect it was that, or could be that, which has messed things up.

    I tried that, I formatted the card, and downloaded the files and tried again, but no luck. I also then borrowed the card from my Wii, which is a tad smaller, only 2GB, and copied, formated, and loaded the files, but that didnt work either. I put that back into my Wii and that can see it fine...
