    Now I've got this working and can start editing, has anyone tried moving villagers around with success yet? I want to know whether to use this or the save editor, since the main thing I wanted this for was to move my villagers (and a few permanent buildings).

    I assumed the worst, that's unlucky. On a brighter note however, I tested the hacks on my brother's DS and I got green grass to work! So I'll be trying all of them and hopefully, with some luck I'll have a new and improved town soon enough.

    Just got home and here's an update- my brother's 3DS is on 9.2.0 but it says it is ready to update, though I'm not gonna do that! Hopefully this should work now…

    I did some googling and a few articles and websites mention that it's includes browser updates so I guess it blocks something that this exploit relies on. However I'm pretty sure I've read about other spider tool based hacks that originally said that updating to 9.5.x or higher rendered them...

    Ah that makes sense, I assumed from the OP where it said below version 9.5.0-23 that it would also include that. Any chance this'll be updates in future to work with higher versions or did the update make it impossible? I'll have to check and see if my brother's DS is on the older update.

    So I am completely new to all of this and I apologise if this has been said before, but I checked my 3DS firmware and it says "Ver 9.5.0-23E" (note the 'E'). I'm also using a PAL version as I'm in the UK, and when I run the tools I just get the webpage saying "ok" and the "Executing..."...
