    TN vs IPS in a New 3DS / New 3DS XL is a total lottery. Particularly savvy might list which they have, but expect IPS models to be extra expensive. Personally, I lucked into an IPS top and TN bottom, which is good enough for me.

    Hm, I can't get Makai Toushi Sa-Ga's English patch to load. I get a "File to large"[sic] error. I am not sure what I'm doing wrong as someone else in the thread seemed to have it booting. I have the BIOS installed and am using an AceKard 2i on a DSi XL.

    Yeah, that’s exactly the tool I found and used. I found multiple similar instructions on how to use it, each time the person claiming their way was the one that worked, but despite trying to follow each to the letter I always end up crashing when loading the save.

    Fantastic, thank you! I've tried out: FCEUmm, which seems unchanged (it was working fine already). SNES9x 2005+, which unfortunately does not seem to gain performance in certain games that are still hovering around 50-55fps at times (Tetris Attack in-game and the SMRPG intro are quick tests)...

    @justinweiss Are the changes you made eventually sent to the upstream “main” retroarch 3DS port, or are these versions their own thing?

    Can these cores just be thrown into the Retroarch cores folder and installed, or is there a different process? Also, do I need to first uninstall the old cores from my home menu before running the new ones? That’s how I’ve always upgraded cores but I’m not sure if that’s actually the best way...
