Hacking HBC + Apps = Jumpy Cursor / Unresponsive :: Updates Fail!

So, it turned out to be a faulty nunchuck which made HBC and HB apps jumpy and unresponsive!! It also caused the DSI Exception dump too. If I disconnect the nunchuck when I have a jumpy cursor, everything returns to normal and smooth pointer operation. Strange, but true. I'm glad I have a...

Hacking HBC + Apps = Jumpy Cursor / Unresponsive :: Updates Fail!

The sensor bar is the original and all IR's are working (tested using camera phone to see them). The remote is fine in games and main system menu, just in HBC and related apps (Load Mii, WAD Manager etc) is jumpy and unresponsive / slow. Loadmii in particular can take 1 or 2 minutes to move up...

Hacking HBC + Apps = Jumpy Cursor / Unresponsive :: Updates Fail!

SOLVED! Hi there, So some background first.... I have a 3.4E Wii with HBC 0.6. I put IOS222 (Hermes) onto it to bring it right up to date as indicated here: http://gwht.wikidot.com/hermes-ios2a22-223 Everything was running fine and then for no reason I'm aware of, one day I noticed the...

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

@Wiimm Thanks dude. I just chose FAT32 (option "b") and everything works brilliantly. All my titles are back and working. You are a god send. Thank you for *all* your valuable assistance. Very pleased. P.S. I am going to make a full backup!!!

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

Hi, When we get to the partition ID (using "t"), do we want FAT16 (option "6") or FAT32 (option "b"). There is a big list of types you can choose from, see picture: Thanks. Nearly there I hope.

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

Please excuse my ignorance...but how do I create a primary partition? I already attempted "o" and "w" in fdisk, but it did not help. I really don't want to break anything any more than I already have!!

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

@Wiimm Hi again, So I tried the backup command, with capital M, and it worked. Then I tried fdisk, option "o" to create new MS-DOS partition, and "w" to write to disk. Synced disks and it all looks good. However, wwt analyse /dev/sdb1 does not work....the partition still does not exist for...

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

That didn't work. The wwt commands seem to have been successful (see screens), but I am still not able to see sdb1 with all my titles in WBFS Manager or on the Wii console in USB Loader GX or other. I don't understand where sdb1 has gone. Here is wwt analyse /dev/sdb: Here is wwt format...

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

Okay well I gave it a go, using Windows 7, and at first it seemed to work brilliantly. I performed the steps and did wwt format --recover --force /dev/YOUR_DRIVE to both /sdb and /sdb1, like such, doing each one in turn: wwt format --recover --force /dev/sdb wwt format --recover --force...

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

@Wiimm This format command does worry me...assuming that it is successful, how can it be that it can leave the backup ISO data intact, will it not simply erase the TOC, or does it rebuild this and therefore restore the drive to a fully working condition with backup ISO's in place? Also, how can...

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

Hi thanks for your fast reply. I just have some questions before I attempt this. 1. In Linux (Ubuntu), for ADMIN mode you mean I should run ROOT TERMINAL or gksudo a terminal, and not simply "su" (switching user) in a normal terminal? 2. Do I need to manually mount the external drive with...

Hacking WBFS-HD corrupted - any chance to recover?

Hi, I've got the same issue, so I'm trying the HxD solution, and at sector 63 I don't have the term "WBFS" at all...it is blank. Sector 64 shows my first title, and my last title is around Sector 950, so I can count them all. What should I do? Or is there a better / safer way? I really am...
