Homebrew [Release] eBook reader for Nintendo 3DS: 3DSLibris (DSLibris port)

Just want to say that I love all the improvements you've made to it.

Homebrew [Release] eBook reader for Nintendo 3DS: 3DSLibris (DSLibris port)

Nice. I use DSlibris a lot, but the limitations of the DS are very apparent, so seeing something like this in the works is exciting. I tested it out for a bit, and it ran perfectly fine through the Homebrew Launcher with various books. I'm definitely looking forward to moving all my books over...

SuperFW: a custom firmware for Supercard

From the documentation, which is linked on the Github download page: "Download the superfw-sd.fw (if you have a Supercard SD) or superfw-lite.fw (if you have a Supercard Lite) file and place it in the SD card. Create a copy of this file and rename it to superfw.gba." I agree that the "Updating...

Homebrew Emulator [Release]fMSX3DS(MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ emulator with new feature for 3DS)

What an incredible emulator! I tried playing some old favourites, but then I became addicted to Xak, which I had never played before. In the past, I've played quite a lot of PC-8801, PC-9801, FMTowns and x86000 games via emulators, but when using them, getting a game set up for the first time...

    Why are 3DS's so expensive?

For me, at least, the GBA replaced the GB, the DS replaced the GBA, and the 3DS replaced the DS. The Switch didn't replace the 3DS. As a result, it's still the "current" Nintendo handheld—my immediate go-to device—but it's out of production, and thus, expensive. The library for it is so large...

SuperFW: a custom firmware for Supercard

If that were the case, wouldn't people with other models of GBA (SP, Micro, etc...) be reporting the issue in a similar manner? Or is the original model exceptionally more prone to gathering dirt?

SuperFW: a custom firmware for Supercard

Download the image they uploaded and rename the file extension from .png to .zip. It's an archive with a 4MB rom named "FilmPlay.gba".

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

I say that solely because I recognize the Nintendo logo corruption as something that occurs with roms patched by the Supercard software when running them both with emulators and with the SCFW kernel. There's clearly a hardware issue, so don't mind me. I just thought it was worth mentioning that...

Homebrew SCFW: Custom Firmware & Kernel for Supercard

If the roms worked on the official Supercard firmware, does that mean you previously patched them with the Supercard software?

Homebrew SCFW: Bleeding-edge modular kernel branch

Since I was the one who brought it up, I feel I should give an update on the last topic for anyone who happens upon the thread in future, As of the first official release of SwanGBA (used in this latest SCFW Bleeding-edge version) the saving/loading problem in Wonderswan emulation is completely...

Any good resources for getting started on GBA development and homebrewing?

I recently messed around with Butano, which is a C++ engine for GBA development, to make a game. Though I have some general programming knowledge, I knew nothing about C++ (or similar languages) going into it, and quite frankly, I still don't. But it was very easy to use; there's a bunch of demo...

Homebrew SCFW: Bleeding-edge modular kernel branch

Wow, Wonderswan! It's impressive to see that running. Despite the slowdown on many games (RIP every Digimon game) the Final Fantasy ports seem very playable, which I love to see. These games really suit the GBA screen. I did struggle to get a working save file though. I can save, return to the...

Homebrew SCFW: Bleeding-edge modular kernel branch

Aah, I see. As much as I'd like to support them, I was never in a position to spend the asking price of the big GBA flash carts, so all this work is much appreciated. Your and metroid maniac's efforts inspired me to pick up a SuperCard and make some homebrew, which I'd never done before. It's...

Homebrew SCFW: Bleeding-edge modular kernel branch

Jeez, I look away for a brief moment and the amount of supported emulators skyrockets! Very excited for Neo Geo Pocket. How involved is the process of adding support for them? Feels like you blitzed through them all.
