    I replaced boot.firm. It was only that file. Yes, it still led me to getting the same error message which is exactly what I mean.

    I did follow this and replaced the boot file, but it hasn't helped. I see it mentions installing plugins. Is this needed to fix the issue? If so, where would I find the default .3gx file? Could I find one for a specific app like Poke Transporter?

    How long should a game be?

    Long enough to be enjoyed. I would take a 5-6 hour game that's fun over a 20-30 one that's a bland mess.

    Every Pokemon game is easy to understand, though if you're looking for a starting point then I recommend one of the Gen 1 remakes like FireRed/LeafGreen or Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee
