    I've returned, by unpopular demand.

Hello to anyone who may be reading this, I have not been online all summer due to my family wanting to spend time with me. I don't see them much, so I can understand why, I'll probably no longer be posting on my political blog due to unpopularity, and lack of content. I'll be online more often...

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Decompilation project emerges

Very excited, can't wait! I've always been trying to find a way to play Link to the Past, but I've personally been a bit unsuccessful. So, this should be useful. (Before replying please note that I do not have a lot of cash, and cannot afford a console for the game, nor the game itself. Not...

    Taxation.

Hello, a good day to you. I'm not here to mainly share my own opinions but to let people express their own. I know nothing about tax rates, government funding, or anything relating to it. I know people complain about taxes a lot, and I want to know all the fuss. Is tax rising, or is it lowering...

Thank you very much once again FAST6191, I think I have a completely better understanding of this topic before I posted this blog entry. You've been nothing but helpful the entire time I've been here. I'm sorry I didn't quite understand the first time, but I'm glad I do now. I hope you have a...

The Recovery from the Pandemic. (Econ)

So, it's been a while since the pandemic more or less "ended" in a way, but there are still some traces of what it's leaving us to deal with. Of course, this blog is primarily about economics, and we'll be talking about the recovery and/or worsening of the economy from the pandemic. Some people...

Hacking I'm trying to get into hacking but somewhat failing.

I apologize for the informality, but dude, thank you so much. You've summed those up better than any article I read. I owe you one. By your definition, I would most probably be interested in Grey hat hacking and/or ROM hacking, but you don't need to explain those further. Again, thank you so...

Hacking I'm trying to get into hacking but somewhat failing.

Well, the problem is. I don't know a damn thing about hacking. I'm barely even sure what a Trojan horse, or a backdoor is. I'm very young, so I have a good amount of time to work and think about this before I decide to use hacking in any way. Now, of course. I'm sure there are certain types of...

I see, I apologize for not being more knowledgeable on the subject due to my being young. But I believe there may be a slight misunderstanding? I say they're printing more money due to the fact they'd have to get more into the system because of the minimum-wage raise. Say in my logical...

    The American minimum-wage issue.

Hello, and a good day to you. So, the matter at hand, the American minimum-wage issue, and how it's affecting inflation in the United States of America. As of recently, the minimum wage has been raised to around $13-$15 an hour, causing more money to be printed, bringing the value of the US...

Exactly, there's no debugging facility. and it's a very sensitive scripting language. (IMO)

Let's discuss the U.S. penny, and if we should need it in our modern society.

Hello, good morning to a few of you. Today, I believe we should talk about the pros and cons of the American 1-cent coin, the penny. Now, as we should all know, 100 pennies is a dollar. But let's be honest, who the hell is paying in pennies? The cons of this coin are; 1. It's so low in value, so...

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
