    Hacking USB Loader GX

in sd card mode is it possible to use an emunand on usb? this is a viable setup in other loaders (so it's technically possible although i don't know under what cios), but my preference is to use usb loader gx. my game backups are located in sd:/wbfs and my emunand in usb1:/nands/nand1. if...

Emulator [UNOFFICIAL] Frodo core for Nintendo Wii - Commodore 64 emulation on RetroArch Wii

how do you use this unofficial core? i can load it (and even start it to get a basic prompt), but when i select load content i get a list of suggested cores that's missing this unofficial one. i can find nothing in settings that will allow ALL cores to be displayed in the list.

Hacking NUS NANDBuilder for Wii: Fixed NAND creation.

actually i fixed it with the patched Ohneschanzenegger r106fix. created a new nand using the previous garbage character backup as a template and simply did not format afterwards. *update* ack, it creates a new empty nand with no data. i'm still back to how to reimport the extracted contents.

Hacking NUS NANDBuilder for Wii: Fixed NAND creation.

i got the Ohneschanzenegger tool from wiibrew.org. it's listed as r118, but the download link returns r106 (which the fix linked to in this thread applies to). as it turns out the nandextract tool from the same wiiqt package is able to successfully extract the nand despite the garbage...

Hacking NUS NANDBuilder for Wii: Fixed NAND creation.

i am using showmiiwads, showmiiwads mod and wii nand extractor all with the same results: invalid characters in path. i can see garbage characters after the directory names just like described.

Hacking NUS NANDBuilder for Wii: Fixed NAND creation.

i used an older ver of this tool and just finished setting up a somewhat elaborate nand after flashing it. i pulled a final bootmii backup only to discover the garbage characters after directory names when trying to extract an emunand. i really don't want to re-do all that work (it was a chore...

Hardware NKit :: Recover to Redump Images :: Shrink and Preserve Wii and GameCube Disc Images as Playable

I had initial reservations about nkit (.net related), but I have since embraced it as my primary archive format. truth be told I still employ wbfs on a physical console to play most games, but I have everything stored permanently in nkit.gcz as a compromise for ready emulation use. I have read...

Hardware NKit :: Recover to Redump Images :: Shrink and Preserve Wii and GameCube Disc Images as Playable

how do i get this working with win xp? i've installed the latest revisions of .net 3.5 & 4, but i still get "is not a valid win32 application" when trying to execute any of the nkit tools. can it be recompiled to work (at least the command line tools)? i would like to use nkit alongside wii...

Hardware NKit :: Recover to Redump Images :: Shrink and Preserve Wii and GameCube Disc Images as Playable

i am attempting to convert 8 .nkit.iso images back to .iso. i get read verifiedfailed errors on all 8 of them when running converttoiso.exe or nkitextractionapp.exe. selecting convert or recovery makes no difference. i'm rather frustrated.
