    Has to be 81 from what I've read, 81 is the "newer" cart and the update only works with 81 for the time being, 44 just bricks.

    Load up Acekard in the to check if the HW in the Help menu is 81, if not do not update. Though it probably will be since you bought it recently, check anyway. Format SD card and copy over the update. Run and install update on DS/DSL. Delete everything from the SD card and copy over AKAIO latest...

    Well GBA carts could play DS ROMs eventually so I don't see why not. It'll probably be nowhere near as good as dedicated carts if/when it surfaces though, then eventually become useless in comparison to the Super R5kard 3i SakuraDS Perfect Deluxe.
