Hardware Wii u powers up but does not display on tv
It may be capacitors on the HDMI rail that lost they're capacitance and they may of been heated up causing them to gain some of they're capacitance back making the picture show up.- Splader

Honestly, after like 100Mbps unless you have more than a couple of people in your house it really doesn't matter
