    Yes, my controller did work out of the box with 5.1 so I never changed the firmware.

    I sent an email to the firmware/chip manufacturer. I'm sure they are not going to reply, but we do not lose anything for trying. It would be great if there was a backup tool or a way to modify the properties of these controllers, like the depicted colors in the console.

    Nintendo didn't do any new changes from 5.x to 6.0 that is why all the third party controllers are still compatible. I've only found two update tools, but they are for the brands you already tried. There is another sold as 'sunwaytek n10w' but they removed the update from their page.

    The brand isn't really Tutuo, it's just a generic gamepad that several companies import from China and stick their own brand, at least for the product description (Tatuo, Eeekit, Eastvita etc.) Try the update for the EEEkit, it's the easiest name to find the updates.
