Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Thank you for the reply, seems I edited my comment too late. What about the pull-down? Is it needed with duel mosfet? I didn’t add it on the first mod I performed.

Can I remove the LDO from rp2040 zero? Also is there maybe issue with latest firmware? Should I stick with 2.65? With duel mosfet do I need pull-down?

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Already modded a v2 mariko. Just picked up a lite from Craigslist for my next attempt. Any tips for placing the pico in the shell? Another question, can I use a sd card that was already set up on the other switch, and boot strait to atmos?

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Thank you, I had to add a second mosfet and now it is booting to picofly. I want to add if anyone else is thinking of doing this. This was one of the most finicky and butt clenching soldering jobs I have ever done. There were a few moments where I thought I fried my switch. I was able to get my...

Where else can I run source from?

Please, is there supposed to be continuity on all pins of mosfet after install?

Is there continuity on the mosfet once wired in? I bought three. I removed one because continuity and the next behaves the same in circuit.

Thanks, now I have an issue unrelated. When taking off the metal shroud around the cpu I knocked something off. Anyone have an idea what it is? Edit: my wife no longer works now and I am guessing this is why

what do you think? 26awg for the connections to cpu and 32 wag for logic. I didn’t realize it was this tiny. Now I have to wait on a tool to open the switch because the screws aren’t Phillips but some tri bit thing. I checked each wire with a multimeter for continuity.

Thank you, so if I am on the no sd screen would there be a way to boot into ofw at that point? Or do I need a payload to do that for me?

I’m total noob. Once I do this mod and power on if successful will I see hamate immediately or do I need to prepare an sd card?

Thanks for the reply. I removed the images. Sorry for that. I was just trying to get clarification.

D I am assuming would stand for drain and s for source? If you see the following photo are contradicting in that regard. Which of these is correct? Is one a different mosfet? Edit: image removed

    Picofly AIO Thread

I agree, To me it appears that in the photos for this thread there is different wiring for the mosfet. I would assume either is correct as they are posted here but I am unsure why they are different. I am also curious if two mosfet is being recommended now also based on discussion I have seen as...

Thank you, I have experience soldering so this will work best for me. My only remaining question is if the solder points where the mosfet goes is the same as above on the v2 switch
