    Editing the cos.xml worked. This did the trick: <argstr type="string" length="4096">main.rpx -region JPN</argstr>

    Is there anything I can try to do to make this work? I probably can't edit the content on the disc but I have been able to dump the game.

    So, I tried this with a japanese disc of Paper Mario: Color Splash and the game doesn't start. Any ideas why it doesn't work? My sys config tool shows all regions so I probably didn't fail at installing this.
