    I remember needing to look up what "Language" is in Japanese to find the setting. Because it was in Japanese. Plus, whether it's easy to use or not, there's nothing wrong with wanting everything in the language you know best. I'm simply answering OP's question.

    You don't update Luma within the Luma configuration menu. Simply to to Universal Updater and download Luma3DS boot.firm in there

    When you fully install CFW, and then do a region change, sometimes the homebrew apps can be stuck in the original language. Just use the camera feature in the Google translate app to navigate to language settings within each app.
