That's what it should do, yes. But alas, it doesn't in my case, which is why the 3DS fails to reconnect after the MAC change.

Tutorial Chaldron's MAC Cycler for Windows

I'lle check to see what the MAC really is after changing both when I get home (assuming it hasn't been fixed by then). Also, I've borrowed someone's script and edited to an extent that it will cycle through a bunch of MACs using the above steps (which is necessary for me to even get it going)...

Actually, even though this whole HOW-TO states you should change the MAC of "Wi-Fi", I actually have to change both "Wi-Fi" and the attwifi connection to the same MAC in order to make the 3DS reconnect to the access point after a MAC change.

The connection named Wi-Fi should be your adapter. The 2nd one, named "Wireless Network Connection" (or whatever, it should have the attwifi SSID) should be the access point you created by using the "netsh wlan set" command. Now, if they are turned off for whatever reason, you should double...

Nah, windows 7. Can you confirm that, when the cycler changes the MAC and restarts and you open up your 3DS, you get the internet icon at the top left? Or does it stay in Streetpass mode?

Tutorial Chaldron's MAC Cycler for Windows

As soon as the cycler changes the MAC, my 3DS refuses to connect to the network. I noticed after having cycled a batch of MACs (15 minute interval) and 0 streetpasses. I opened up the 3DS and noticed that it said "streetpass" instead of Internet at the top left. Then I tried testing the...
