    well actually the traces arnt there at all now fml, ill update with a picture shortly, the audio is permanently on, so atleast ive not lost sound... i just cant adjust the volume.

    A few years back I broke the flat cable from the volume slider of my 3DS XL both on the slider itself and the main board. I did a small repair and soldered 4 wires from the slider to the main board and it worked and held up well... until recently. The solder joints had come loose traveling on...
