Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

Or you can try the official Nintendo method, charge your Switch and run it dry 3x XD I don't think that actually works, but I happen to share office space with Nintendo Support & asked the "official" solution

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

The way I look at it, I can fix physical problems with my Switch, but I can't fix banned XD For that reason Lakka is great if you wanna have fun with your system, but want to reduce the risk of some modification being detected and receiving a ban. Not much is known about how bans will be handed...

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

Please try to use the search function. This can't be done yet, no good driver for the battery. As for charging to 100%, I do this in Horizon OS before booting any Linux, and charge all the way before I leave (I rarely play on battery power in Lakka at this stage). This doesn't "cure" the...

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

Since I see a lot of questions about running PSP games in Lakka- so far every game I've tried runs too fast. For instance in Twisted Metal and Burnout Legends both, they run a lil over 2x speed and sometimes you see this strange single color "wall" that appears to be blocking your path, but you...

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

I don't think anyone can reliably answer this. If your goal is to charge your switch while in Lakka OS, I just start up one of the Metroids for the GBA and let it loop the intro video.

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

:O You'd be legend if you got Citra working! The good news is it looks like there's a lot of cross-development that can benefit our cause. Is it possible for our current implementation to read the battery? Understood that we don't have an elegant fix for the battery desync yet, though knowing...

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

I tried using the update method of placing the .tar in the .update folder, but I got the black screen bug on my first boot. I gave it about 2 minutes before I decided to reboot and try again, but I got a message that the update failed, it attempted to recover, but now get an error that it...

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

Fair enough :) it might be worth checking your sd card for errors in the time being, EaseUS has a pretty great tool for this.

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

@Majortaylor glad to know Ubuntu's an option, let's stick with Windows for now. You might have tried some of this, but it's good to start from the top. In Windows, go ahead and delete any copies of the Lakka-Switch image you might have. Go ahead and download a new copy, just in case...

Thank you @TotalInsanity4 and I'd never dream of such @Centergaming. I'd suggest maybe moving the conversation to a Twitter DM with @Majortaylor or such n posting back once we actually got something, but I guess I gotta get them 100 comments somehow XD

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

@Majortaylor If you may, What OS are you using to write the image to the SD card? What program or command are you using to write the image? (Or by chance are you doing this the manual way?) I'd DM you if I could, but I don't see this function.

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

I don't understand some of the entitlement I'm seeing in this thread, it's a WIP and a great one at that. If people are unhappy with the battery desync issue, there's nothing wrong with just using your Switch as Nintendo intended. It's not like any of us have paid Natinusala for any of this...

@natinusala negative, it's a 32gb SDHC @pretend7979 I can always try my hand at compiling, though in this case I used Natinusala's pre-built image. I also re-downloaded it, though it's worth noting I used the copy on GDrive as I hit a 5 hour wait for the Mega copy. By chance is there an MD5...

Hacking RELEASE Painless Linux - it's Linux, but painless (Windows, Mac OS, Linux & Android)

@pretend7979 point taken, I went ahead and reflashed and tried again, attached is a screenshot of what I'm getting. The line above last, "Waiting for root device" probably has more to do with my issue, as if it isn't seeing one or more of the partitions on my SD? In case it matters, I'm...
