    you are correct that it is the vwii side of things, it really only likes old routers same as wii, when i want to use wifi on my vwii or wii i use my phone hotspot with an open(no security) config and it works fine. you could try this. only other option is to find an old router and use it just...

    it is really easy to do. keep the music file 1mb or less. use this guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-add-custom-sound-to-your-wii-menu.632574/ i use vlc media player to convert from .mp3 to .wav myself instead of the one in guide if you need any help ask me by dm i am usually lurking around...
