    It seems that they are trying to evade the 3d name from the console, if you watch the 3ds european commercial on internet you'll see that they didn't even mention the 3d capabilities. BTW the new name is awesome.

    The problem is that if they hack the 3ds, nintendo will just update their console and newer games won't be able to run in a hacked system, i will repeat something already said, if you bought the console waiting just to hack, get rid of it because it's no use.

    Maybe it's early to take conclusions, I remember before the 3ds launch that many game websites said that DoA dimensions was damn slow, and when the game was released the framerate was improved fixed on 30 fps when in 3d mode.     I understand your point of view but you're forgetting that the 3ds has parental controls, Parents just need to put a code there and the kid won't be able to make calls or send mesages.

    Then why the wii u is going to have a video call, i know that most of people who has the 3ds are thinking about buying or will buy a wii u. It's pointless to say that they're triyng to evade something since they're not guilty about whom you call or talk to.

    No. Just download the patch on the internet put in the root of your sd card, turn on your DS and update. Hope it helped

    Yeah it does update automatically, one great example is the pokedex 3d if you let your 3ds in sleep mode for 3~5 minutes it will download a pokemon automatically even without notifying you. But I'm not sure if it updates firmwares automatically but I think the spotpass function is just for games...
