Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

Got a breakthrough! I found the older bootmii files that I had right after 2015 and put them in the bootmii folder. The Wii launched with the SD card in! However, I won't say I fixed it yet, until everything seems safe.

I'll try that later today, thank you. If it was just video mode that wasn't loading properly, wouldn't I still be able to use the wiimote (and wouldn't the disc tray not keep flashing repeatedly?). Anyways, renaming bootmii worked it seems, but I'd like to keep that on. My bootmii.ini looks...

This is the root folder of my sd card if that's what you're looking for (August 2015 was when I originally homebrewed my Wii, June 17th was when I reformatted and backed up my SD card.

Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

Hey guys, I'm sure there's been at least 300 other people that have asked similar questions here so please bear with me. I've finally gotten my Wii out of the box I've kept it in over 2 years in order to finally play some games. But when I turn my Wii on with an SD card, I just get a black...

Bumping, has someone been able to fix the black screen issue by using ntrboothax?

Whoa, I thought it replaced your NAND with a different one. I'll have to check it out, I thought I heard a story where someone lost their data while doing a CTR transfer.

I could, but I'd also like to keep my nand data.

More specifically, my 3DS pretty much bricked itself. Dunno if it's a hardware issue or software, but all the lights turn on and I can access recovery, so I'm assuming it's software.

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Would it be possible to do something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/53ofdw/psa_you_can_fix_a_broken_nand_without_a_backup/ If my friend has 11.3.0 and I have 11.4? I'm assuming we'd both have to have the same firmware, right?

Same here. I think ill just wait for magnethax and do the unbricking method with my friends 3ds from this link: [PSA] You can fix a broken NAND without a backup (A9LH) : 3dshacks i read it could be a lcd issue but i doubt it

Try charging it completely, draining the battery, then charging it back again?

have you checked the cables inside the 3ds? maybe adjusting them? I saw that it worked for some people, but at this point i'm just gonna wait for magnethax as well.

Hardware Typical black screen of death - all lights are on (corrupted/fried NAND?)

I might be screwed. Literally. These damn screws on the second end of the backplate will not come off. And btw, if someone wants to risk their 3ds, could they put a game in sleep mode, and let it die? It seems that this is how many of the bad black screen problems happen, which leads me to...
