    I'd have to reassemble it, but I can certainly try when I have time. I used to get a top backlight and speaker pop with a 5 second blue led, with just battery, but now nothing, unless ac is also attached, as described above.

    O3DS, try to boot with charged battery, nothing happens. When I insert ac power, the blue light (and orange light) stay on when trying to boot, nothing else happens, won't turn off until I pull the battery... fuses on button side of board check out fine, battery powers my 2ds fine. No cfw.

    Is there a way to tell exactly which O3DS component is bad?

    Because I'm constantly trying to fix it... mobo was working fine until original speaker ribbon broke. Getting 5 second blue led, then turns off. Ribbon cables have no obvious visual damage. Battery is giving me 3.8v, it seems ok. New top and bottom screens, purchased thru ebay...new speaker...
