Homebrew Homebrew game Castlevania Symphony of the Night - Switch port

Amazing job on all these Android ports! It's a pity that this version seems to be based on an emulated ROM rather than a native port to Android. :( Hopefully, sometime in the future we will see a native port (and with some additional features!) based on this:

Homebrew Silent Hill Decompilation NX - Switch port

Awesome! Does the rumble work (I have currently only a Switch Lite to test)? Now we just need one of those VHS / scanline filters that Silent Hill-inspired horror indie games use... 😂

Hacking Fix for loooong game loading times on Switch -- hibernation mode?

Today I lost my progress in a game which only saves between levels because I needed to talk to someone and then forgot to plug in the Switch with low battery... My bad, ofc, but then I remembered how my Mac can restore a sleep state in a similar situations even with a dead battery...

Emulation Homebrew x86 to ARM translation for running PC games on Android getting better and better - adapting similar technique for native-like PC gaming on Horizon OS?

@dantiicu It looks that dantiicu is already working on Wine for Switch, so awesome! https://github.com/dantiicu/wine-nx

Homebrew Homebrew game Half Life 2 (Source Engine) - Switch Port

Dark Messiah also uses Source Engine but I guess it would be too much effort to try to adapt / modify this port for that game to work? https://www.moddb.com/mods/dark-messiah-advanced-sdk

Hacking Homebrew ROM Hack Mods for online / single device multiplayer games to use local wireless / LAN mode?

What about implementing some universal homebrew method to sync RAM, controller state, etc. between two Switches to make single-screen multiplayer games playable via local wireless? Of course, both users would have to use identical versions of a given game. I think that Dolphin is doing...

Homebrew Homebrew game Final Fantasy IV 3D Remake - Switch port

Amazing work on these ports! @Nagaa Hmm... Did you know that there are Android versions of idTech 4 FPS games? There is also an Android port of Super Mario Bros. Remastered: https://github.com/mircowuffwuff/super-mario-bros.-remastered-android

Emulation Homebrew x86 to ARM translation for running PC games on Android getting better and better - adapting similar technique for native-like PC gaming on Horizon OS?

What would be the technical challenges of using a similar technique natively on Switch through CFW? I am not talking here about the alternative operating systems. Below, what is currently possible on Android in terms of PC gaming (ofc, not expecting to run such heavy Windows games on Switch):

Celeste FMOD2 Utilities -- PC version of the game with mod support on Switch (and ARM64 Linux in general)

Here's the link to the project on GitHub: https://github.com/pixelomer/Celeste-FMOD2 BTW, @fgsfds do you think it might be possible to run this version of Celeste with mod support on Horizon OS natively with some kind of wrapper, in a similar way you got Android games running on Vita / Switch?

Woah just look at this guys! It looks like an official remastered SMB1 game! Would have been perfect for Switch, I wonder how hard would it be to port since it is using Godot (there is, e.g. Homebrodot project): https://github.com/JHDev2006/Super-Mario-Bros.-Remastered-Public/ IMPORTANT: You...

Another potential use could be dumping whole game states for various testing purposes...

Hacking Fix for loooong game loading times on Switch -- hibernation mode?

Woah, this sounds even cooler! I actually was thinking about writing in the first post, how I love using snapshots in virtual machines for quickly restoring the OS.

Hacking Fix for loooong game loading times on Switch -- hibernation mode?

Would it be possible to implement something like hibernation mode on Switch? I mean an option to dump the whole RAM onto the SD card, and being able to quickly restore it. So that we would be able to continue playing a game (even if we completely closed it), and without watching all those...

It's a pity that it is not well-organized... :( Anyway, I tested today Quake 4 on my friend's "gaming" phone, and it works really well!
