    So here's the way I found that works with saving: Save your game. When you're ready to leave the game press start and "quit". At the prompt saying all progress will be lost you say yes.     Maybe it's your set up? Everything I've tried so far works very well. Only complaint is that it's still a bit too complicated for my 8 year old to understand right now (starting hbc, games, etc), so he's staying on the wii. :)
