i actually got it working right when i tried this last time to post the error, sorry i guess it was something wrong with my connection? thanks for the suggestions and help to everyone who posted info and links.- Ranma444

Hacking Can I get some help with the Back-up Loader 0.3?
I've also been having trouble with just installing the cios that came with the backuploader. When i run the cios installer i get an error and a bunch of code after it retrieves the updates from the internet. any idea what i am doing wrong or missing? I am still on formware 3.1U if that helps.- Ranma444

Hacking need help with cios downgrader
Hello everyone, i am new to all this homebrew stuff and am having the same trouble as the TC. I still have firmware 3.1U and never updated or did anything. My friend had installed the homebrew channel for me, so this is my first time trying to do things myself but i keep running into problems...- Ranma444

I didn't know they made an MSU cart for the Genesis.... I knew about the SNES one and the library for that is rather large but the Genesis one has very few games+1

An FPGA could probably replicate the chip's functionality without buying donor parts.+1

Like not emulating the entire SNES but just a loader and the enhancement chips perhaps even slightly overclocked like FX-2
