    Obviously you have a card from the (in)famous bad batch. Download and install older version of the official firmware (4.07 to be exact) from acekard.com and saving will work fine on most games (pokemon hg/ss will freeze, but diamond/pearl/platinum will work perfectly) This is a temporary fix...

    Dunno if it was mentioned but the patch walks works even on the bad batch Acekards 2.1 with official firmware 4.07! 3 hours of playing and no freeze whatsoever. Awesome.

    It maybe works on the latest official firmware (4.21) but to be able to save on those defective acekards you still have to use the older version (4.07) which doesn't support this game. The clean US rom freezes on save selection screen (this is where the AP kicks in). I also tried the xenophobia...

    Yep, definitely the infamous bad batch. Download and install the official firmware version 4.07 from acekard.com and most games will then run/save properly, though you won't be able to play newer games with AP protection like Pokemon HG/SS or Bowser's Inside Story. edit: I was a bit too slow...

    I was going to post the same suggestion I am using the exact same setup (1.6RC2 with official 4.07 loader) but there obviously isn't any difference in game compatibility, at least for me. Of course it is useful, because you can play older games properly AND have the functionality of AKAIO 1.6...

    I have just tried various combinations of cluster sizes and filesystems on my Kingston 4GB SDHC with AKAIO 1.5.1 and I can tell you nothing works for me, it still freezes/doesn't save... Too bad, I had my hopes up that this may be a fix...

    Yep, it doesn't work, but there is no error message saying that the card is a clone (This version was supposed to inform the user whether the card is clone or not) so we have another proof that our faulty cards are genuine.

    So today's tuesday and no signs of new firmware so far. Just as people suspected it was a poor excuse to stop the replacement requests for a while... Sheeeeesh, I should have just bought a CycloDS or another card that actually works as it should...
