Hacking NOOB PARADISE - ask away

Okay, it's been awhile since I've done anything hack-wise with the Wii and I'm thinking about getting up to speed, but I'm not sure how to proceed and not lose any functionality. Where I'm at: Bootmii on Boot2 Preloader (not Priiloader) not sure which version SM 4.2, IIRC, that's the one that...

    Hacking Homebrew Channel Upside-Down!

No, they're not rude. Everyone is sick and tired of the same question(s) being asked over, and over, and over, and over, when a simple search would find the answer to said question(s) in a much timelier manner.

Hacking Waninkoko prepares Firmware Updater 4.2

Unless it isn't running on IOS61. For me, it installed to IOS35, so I used dop-IOS to fix it. And I to add to the data points, I've had no issues with retail disks via the disk channel. Can't speak for burned media, as I don't even bother with them any more. I tried my Super Mario Galaxy...

Hacking Waninkoko prepares Firmware Updater 4.2

Both work for me. I did an unCorp first, then BootMii v0.5 along with HBC 1.05, then Wanin updater 4.2, then cIOS38 rev 14, then dop-IOS to remove Trucha bug on IOS 35 (to fix HBC being upside down), then Hermes IOSv4 to restore Beatles Rock Band functionality. Played Beatles Rock Band via USB...

    Hacking XBMC on Wii

In case you missed it, that was my point. Using the Wii as a front end is fine, but it has some pretty significant limitations for anyone with an HDTV that doesn't want to stick with SD content. Plus XBMC on the Wii would be nice for anyone who has used it on the Xbox, because the control...

    Hacking XBMC on Wii

You're entitled to your opinion, but more and more, my content is moving over to HD. My last DVD was purchased early last year. It's been Blu-Ray disks since, or HD television content, with everything stored on my network. Because of this, the Wii would pale in comparison, and just not work...

    Hacking XBMC on Wii

Until you want to view something at greater than 480p. HD is where everything is moving. I love my Wii, and I live XBMC. I've been using it on two Xbox's for 4 years, and I just built a dedicated HTPC and run Ubuntu based XBMC on that. I gave up the XBox route because of HD content. The Wii...

    Hacking HackMii Installer v0.2 RELEASED!

Just comment out the bootdelay setting entirely, that way it's ignored.

    Hacking BootMii Menu (controlling it)

I retract my statement. Looks like hackmii installer 0.2 came out today and one of the changes for bootmii is:

    Hacking BootMii Menu (controlling it)

Bootmii can autoboot the SM by changing the config file. I think what Hells Guardian was asking is can you delay the autobooting to the SM some way. The answer to that is no. With an SD card in the slot, you can either autoboot the SM or Bootmii (I think you can also do the HBC), but there's...

Hacking [HOWTO] Play Rock Band Backups

GH guitars do not, I repeat, do not work with Rock Band. You need either a Rock Band or Rock Band 2 guitar. GH guitars will work with Rock Band 2, but not one.

Hacking Looking for an extremely powerful media player

There's no way in hell a Wii is going to do true 720p content. Period. Look at XBMC on the Xbox. It's a mature, well-documented platform, with a mature, stable software base, and the only way it can do 720p, marginally at that, is with a carefully coded Xvid (h.263) with a lot of the options...

    Hacking Wii doesn't work corectly...

See, I don't understand this attitude. It's fucking retarded. People like you post on the board asking for help, or asking why they're having problems, and when someone responds with a reason or fix, that is perfectly valid, the response is "Yeah, I don't want to do that." If you don't want...

    Hacking Wii doesn't work corectly...

Why don' t you want to go down this path? Is it because you're afraid of screwing up? Sounds like you're already there. You could try reinstalling everything, but if it were me, I'd go back to 3.2, make sure everything works as it should, and then move back up to SM4 in a logical manner.
