    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

Booting up a game isn't the same as running it. You said it yourself, the games halted because of the low read speed. What good is a game you can only boot and not play? You need a disc with decent or better read speed. TDK and Verbatim discs provide such read speeds and allow you to...

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

Using WiiFrii changes the region of a game to the region of the console the game is played on. The "spinning" issue with NTSC/PAL combinations is a hardware issue on your television set. You can't change that, unless you buy a PAL TV or get one who can run both PAL and NTSC. So, to recap: The...

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

No, don't even bother with Imation discs. I used Imation on Wii Chess, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Geometry Wars Galaxies and none of the games worked. Then I switched to TDK and Verbatim DVD-R and the games work flawlessly.

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

Sorry, can't help you there. Most if not all of the people who have tried playing Mario Kart with the backup-loader have had this problem. It's most likely that the game just isn't compatible with the 3x loading speed of the application.

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

As far as I know the backup-creator.exe removes the update data from the original .iso so I don't think your Wii should get bricked. I have tried four games so far, no bricks here (although all my games were PAL, the same as my console.)

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

Yes if you want to avoid the green screen error. Just be sure to use WiiFrii on them before patching the .isos with backup-creator!

No, not that I'm aware of. You have to run it through the Homebrew Channel.

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

Thanks for the input. I burn all my games on 2,4 and they all work perfectly fine so I didn't even think about burning speed being a factor.

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

Look around the Wii - Hacking subforum, I believe someone opened up a thread about that. As far as I know there are two factors that the successful running of a game depends on: 1. Quality of the DVD-R media 2. Game and console region I use TDK and Verbatim DVD-R and all the games work fine. I...

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

Try closing down all applications that were running during your first patching. Stuff like Firefox, torrent clients, MSN, Winamp, etc. and then try again.

    Hacking backup-creator gui version

Thanks. Now I don't have to move the .iso around

    Hacking Waninkoko's Backup Loader FAQ

How big is the newly-created partition.iso that you got after patching? Mine are all 3,99 gigs.

The ShareNow link isn't an archive, it's an HTML file of the Rapidshare website renamed to .rar

    Hacking Its eating my screen

Umm... no, no you won't That's the sad thing about amateur pirates: they have no respect for game developers. Oh well, back to the point. This sounds like a TV cable issue to me, but it can't be because both your game and your Wii and of the same region. The only other reason that remains...

    Hacking The iso loader...

I doubt it ever will, although it is possible to emulate the games. We'll see how the situation will develop after Waninkoko releases the source.
