    Don't forget that the pixel density is higher on the regular sized N3DS making things look crisper. If you plan on playing any old school DS games, the larger screen stretches out the images so much that I personally find a lot of older games unplayable.

    Okay, I have progress! I got a phone repair/specialty store that said they'd be able to do it, but I need to provide the stencil used on the processor. Does anyone have any pointers on how I can obtain one online?

    If this is anything like DIY 3DS maintenance, you'll have to wait for people to start scrapping N3DSes and selling the parts on ebay-- which isn't really happening yet. Best chances are with trying to get Nintendo to repair it. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo is using the same type...

    Well for the cut areas, you'd need to some how solder back any lost connections. But those areas seem to be the easiest places to alter. I have no experience with this kind of stuff. I'm just tossing around ideas :)
