    Any chance of a new function which could write dumped backup back to other legit 3DS cart and then run it on non-gateway 3DS? Is it too futuristic or perhaps.. :) Just an idea, sorry for off-topic.

    Can someone confirm please that the wires are soldered correctly here? The drawing is right, but the wires look like if they are soldered to DAT0 (#7), GND (#6), CLK (#5), GND(#3). Thanks.

    R4i gold from r4ids.cn. It's cheap and works perfect. Also this card's firmware is updatable with/from 3DS. You do not need to have DSI/DSL

    Ups sorry for rushing. The plastic cartridge itself without 3DS label. Only the card's paper box was with 3DS mark written on it.

    Confirm this. Upgraded flash card with V142C_Patch_R4iGOLD_NDSi.nds from N3DS with old firmware and it works! Sorry for low quality.

    with R4i-SDHC you can upgrade firmware from 3DS. (info from www.r4i-sdhc.com) with R4i gold you can NOT upgrade firmware from 3DS. You need to do that from NDSi/L. (info from www.r4ids.cn). I own R4i gold, but planning to buy R4i-SDHC because this reason above. Or will wait few weeks for some...
