    WODE Jukebox, a piece of hardware designed to emulate an optical drive, allowed access to ISOs over SMB. I have one, and used it until my son ignored my instructions and upgraded to v4.3 firmware, which broke the WODE. I put the Wii into storage and he no longer had a game console.

    If I read this correctly, alexander1970 is suggesting that perhaps your drive is receiving insufficient power from the USB port to function correctly.
