    So does this automatically update CTRNAND too? When I start it, it says payload path "/boot.firm" which I'm assuming is SD root directory. Is this because I have a copy of the 'boot.firm' on my SD root?

    Have you tried a different SD card? I've periodically gotten this error and recently switched my SD and haven't seen it since.

    I use a 128GB SD card for Wii/GC games and a 1TB WD Black 3.5" in an externally powered enclosure for WiiU.
