Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

For people using NBAHomepass, you will still get streetpasses if you select "FNAC Belgium" as the service you connect to, instead of MarcoPolo. edit : I suppose the name of the service implies that this will work for European/Australian 3DS only.

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

Something like that also happened to me some time ago. But I couldn't tell if it was because I previously killed the program at a moment that would leave the setup not completely clean, because the timestep I set was too short (120 secs), or because I messed up something in the list of MAC...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

You may need to check in the network settings if you set up windows to automatically connect to your wireless network or increase the reconnection delay when running NbaHomePass. Version 1.0.1 works great for me. I could cycle over 20 MAC addresses without having to interrupt the process...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

Ok, I've tested NbaHomePass v1.0. I really like the new display with the timer and the current MAC address But I still have the same issue as before, with my 3DS not being able to connect to connect to the hosted network after a certain amount of iteration. I can still kill the program update...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

If you are going to work on your problem, I'd better tell you about the other unimportant bug. BASE16 loops from addresses 40 to 4E. After 4E if goes back to 40, instead of switching to 4F. So, it is actually a BASE15 ;)

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

I think the word you are looking is more "pointless" rather than "hopeless". Well, it is also hopeless trying to make NZ@McD1 and attwifi work with Windows, but suloku also thought about Linux users wrote his program. Tested the program. It's working fine for me. Well, since it is based on...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

They are different in the sense that they are not cycling through same set of MAC addresses (BASE16 addresses are included in BASE256). But yes, the pace is not the same as for the original nzone.exe. I really don't mind the way they are. Still, it could be another interesting improvement to...

Isn't that for you to set? I don't know about Windows 10, but in Windows 7, when you open the Properties of a network (right click on the network name), there is a Connection tab and a Security tab. In the Connection tab, there is a checkbox for "Connect automatically when network is in range"

I also use my ethernet connexion for internet connexion sharing. But I don't think it makes much difference in the end. Igettäjä, you can monitor you PC's hosted network by running the following command as an admin from time to time: netsh wlan show hostednetwork You'll see your current MAC...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

Could be that your 3DS doesn't have access to the internet at all. You can check this directly on the home menu. In the upper left corner of the upper screen, there is a box for the connexion. If it is light blue and says "Internet" you're good. If it is not, you may want to see if your Wireless...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

It could actually be because the keyphrases are different depending on the MAC address a you are missing a few ones. Anyway, in most cases I'm pretty sure I won't let the script run for such a long time in an 8-hour span. So it doesn't really matter in the end. But the random MAC address...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

Actually, I experimented the same issue as Ritster21 and it was my first run of the scrip, using BASE256. I still had access to the internet, but it could have been because my smartphone hotspot was still active. Anyway, at some point, I switched off my phone's hotspot. Then, my 3DS' could not...

Tutorial [HOW-TO] Have a homemade Streetpass Relay

It's working great for me. Hurray for Yoh (...and all the complaining people :P) Rilster21, as long as you can connect to the internet with your console and if the MAC addresses are actually cycling, you should be able to receive Streetpasses. You may not get a batch of 6 people on the Mii...

Unfortunately, there is no improvement. The version that I downloaded hasn't changed (v0.3). I didn't check previous MD5 but current is aa4ec69d0ecf00c52a655a7682f7367c
