    I believe you are right the issues aren't related, it's just the original post said he was using cIOS 251 for the loader so I thought that might be relevant to why it was freezing on USB loader gx:)

    I know you can do that with USB loader gx but I'm sure you could find an easier method with the homebrew channel to do that.

    I had the same issue and I was also using IOS 251 since the others wouldn't work anyway to fix the problem goto you Wii's settings and goto WiiConnect 24 and disable it this also disables standby mode for the Wii but having the games run perfect is worth it

    I've started running my games from IOS 251 and it fixed the issue for me.
