Analogue Pocket FW 1.0B & EZ Flash Omega DE - New issue after first boot

Some more update just in case this is ever useful using other cards from EZ-Flash. The original Omega (non DE) under FW:6 K 1.04 is working out of the box in the pocket 1.0B. After update of the original omega to FW9 K1.09, the pocket reads the firmware properly but not the firmware and it will...

Analogue Pocket FW 1.0B & EZ Flash Omega DE - New issue after first boot

I understand it's not easy to work in the dark, but waiting for 2023 isn't ideal for your customers either. Your competition, namely krikkz, didn't order a Pocket either and when the pocket released he managed to get in touch with Analogue and later received a Pocket to adapt/debug his products...

Analogue Pocket FW 1.0B & EZ Flash Omega DE - New issue after first boot

I just tested with the more recent FW5 and the updated kernel 1.03 (that comes with the eeprom fix version) and it's the same behavior.

Analogue Pocket FW 1.0B & EZ Flash Omega DE - New issue after first boot

Hello, To give a bit of context, I have an EZ-Flash DE rev.A (on the ez-flash fw4) which has been working flawlessly on the Analogue Pocket on the launch and first analogue firmware update without any issue. That includes game with larger savegames & autosave features on. Analogue just...

Hacking EZ-FLASH Junior Stuck at Loading Screen

Did you try putting just the roms at the root of the SD card without any folder ? I've had issue with my Junior when I created new folders onto the SD. It's still unclear why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt but everytime i get stuck at the loading, i can just delete the new folders...

    Hacking EZ-FLASH Junior TestFlight

Another thing I just noticed with my Ez-Flash Jr on the Analogue Pocket, it doesn't like new folders. For some reasons, if I create a new folder at the root of the SD card, the process seems to stay stuck at "LOADING" forever (no error shows up), as soon as I remove the folder from the SD card...

Hacking Hey... will the EZ-Flash Junior work with Analogue Pocket?!?! :D

On my side, I've got it working with this firmware : ezjunior-fw5-0918.zip which is the latest one available (on the 18th of December) from what I can see on the Testflight topic.

Hacking Hey... will the EZ-Flash Junior work with Analogue Pocket?!?! :D

The first impression are fantastic, the screen and audio are brilliant, I particularly like the option to switch the display to match the various look of the GB screens. (I used to own, the original, than the gb pocket and multiple gba/gba sp consoles) Oh sorry, I probably missed those. I've...

Hacking Hey... will the EZ-Flash Junior work with Analogue Pocket?!?! :D

I can confirm that the EZ-Flash Junior works on the Analogue Pocket but, there is a little caveat, I needed to update my flashcard to the current beta firmware & kernel (FW5+K1.05e). Under the stable FW4+K1.04e, I was getting a MicroSD initialization error. As flagged multiple times in the EZ...

    Hacking EZ-FLASH Junior TestFlight

I'm the lucky owner of a brand new Analogue Pocket, I wanted to flag that under the FW4 + K1.04e the EZ-Flash Junior fails to launch (Micro SD error) but after the update to the latest beta firmware FW5 + K1.05e it works like a charm.

Hello everyone, I've been reading GBATemp for many years, it's been a fantastic source of information and good tricks over the years. I'm getting back into some retro-gaming so I felt it was a good to time to register and contribute. Been a gamer for more than 30 years, mostly focused on...
