I've had no problems with DeSmuME 9.8. Just use the patch in the OP. It fixes the problems. It still doesn't work for me on 9.9 OR with no$gba.- NickMcFarland

That cheat code only gets me past the blue screen. (Then after that, it freezes when Black Kyurem appears) I also tried to play it on desmume 9.9.. but I can only get to the rival before it crashes.
