Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

I have 3D World on a disc though, I never had it installed digitally. Is it the game that's corrupted or a save file?

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

Not sure why it wasn't there on mine, but I found the wps file on a linked github page and that seems to have worked. 1695688114 Alright, I'm down to 16 errors only, they're attached below, but they're: usr\\boss - 00050010-10066000 - ECO process usr\\save - 00050000-10145c00 - SUPER MARIO 3D...

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

So, I have aroma working, I can see the menu with the list of plugins, but I can't get FTPiiU to show up here. I believe I put it's files in the relevant folders on my SD. Is there another step I'm missing?

Alright I installed the rest and these are the results: From my last post, 00050010-1004d100 (Notifications) failed to install, error fffcffe5 A new one failed, 00050030-1001710a (Wii U Electronic Manual), error fffbf3b5 I was unable to download 00050030-10011109 (Error (OSv9)) from JNUSTool...

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

My friend and I got the nand-aid installed, and it went pretty smoothly. Now I'm on to actually fixing the corruption. I need to sleep soon, but I've begun reinstalling the corrupted sys\\title files using JNUSTool. The first 5 installed normally, but 00050010-1004d100 failed with error...

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

My 32gb endurance SD card, as well as NAND AID are in hand. Just to ensure I am setting up the SD card properly, is the following correct? after dumping MLC, merge the bin files into 1 bin file Open Win32DiskImager select the merged bin file select the sd card write the bin onto the sd card...

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

Thanks for the info! Once the dump finished, I did pull the plug to turn it off like the guide said. I also taped over my power port for now so I don't forget in the meantime lol.

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

Looks like there are about 1700 errors. A large number of them appear to be 00050002\\1012bd01 and 00050002\\101df401 (Pikmin 3 demo, and Pokken Tournament demo respectively). Do you think it would be easier to repair this, or rebuild? Or I guess what would the pros and cons be At this point...

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

Alright, I think I'm going to try nand-aid like I was originally planning. The dump did finish now, currently backing it up to my PC. Where do I get wfs-extract, and how do I use it? If you've already explained this somewhere, or I overlooked it, just link me. Also, just to confirm, a 32gb...

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

The dump is almost finished this time. It's been running a little under a day and looks like it has about 2gb left to dump. It's currently reporting 51000 mlc errors, so if that's too broken to be fixed, maybe rebuilding is easier, but I'm no expert. A solderless option is intriguing to me, as...

Help repairing/rebuilding MLC on severely damaged Wii U NAND

Oh I see, so instead of having to solder something to where the wii u expects the nand to be, you could just tell it to use the sd slot as MLC? Interesting. I don't suppose there is a tutorial for this yet

Is there theoretically a way to fix the issue without soldering?

Oohhh, yeah I have definitely just been using the gamepad. I’ll try that in a bit. 1694390788 Confirmed, minute does work, I just wasn't on HDMI. I'm going to attempt dumping with the nosleep recovery menu first just to see if it goes any faster.
