    the brand/type of usb device is irrelevant, but 1FE should be 55 (hex) and 1FF either AA or AB ("hidden"). So maybe recheck if you're really looking at the whole device (not partition)

    maybe try to leave a few more gb empty. I switched form a 250gb hdd to a 200gb ssd (becuase of the noise) and had about 170-180gb to copy. for me this worked without issues

    As I did something similar without issues, this is confusing me: afaik if you connect your second hdd/ssd/whatever to your wiiu, it will show available storage. then if you select the games to copy it also shows the size of the selected games. So if the wiiu reports 238gb free space and you...

    no, just disable gxsetcopyfilter and you dont have to bother with individual vfilters. (edit: but be aware that this can cause issues with some games, e.g. brightness setting in re4 wont work anymore)

    imo that sounds like a bad idea, renaming a .elf to another elf name seems like a way to confuse you in the future (maybe you dont use your wiiu for a few months). Maybe its a better idea to just install a hbl2hbc forwarder channel...
