    Hardware how much of the dvd board can be trimmed?

    I want to make the wii's motherboard as small as I can get it and the dvd's board is taking up a good chunk of wasted space, I don't want to trim it until I know what the board can work without

    how about the av port? if I solder a wii2hdmi and the composite to the same port, will they both work? (provided I change the settings from 480i to 480p to use the wii2hdmi)

    I want to know which Wii connectors can be split. like the sensor bar, power cord, and the av out (the av out being split with wii2hdmi and composite cables)

    @Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.

    Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

    @Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

    Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
