    yes it is and it's no longer xaw000000000000 i just did think that i had to go to buy another switch but luckily i did use recover software to take prodinfo back that i had accidentally deleted and do exactly what you instruct me

    prodinfo.bin with approximately 3.8mb and when i try to read it with my hex editor that it does show my switch serial number
