Ah of course, did that before when updating rockbnd2.dat, but I guess I was in such a rush to test out your suggestion I forgot to copy it over! I'll amend my steps in my last post to reflect this.
hulk691 you are my hero!
1. Copy your save folder (title0010000\535a4145\data) from your emulated nand and through some method (FSTools, Waninkoko etc.) replace the internal NAND save with yours.
1a. Update the rockbnd2.dat with the latest DLC (download new song from store)
2. Put RawkSD2 on...
yep, that's how I've been testing it:
- open RB2 (from disc) make a new RB2 save
- download track from latest release, RB2 saves with new rockbnd2
- extract RB2 save using Waninkoko's tool
- rename rockbnd2 to data and place in SDPC folder (rawk/rb2 or whatever the path is), tried with several...
Seems as though my optimism did not pay off, whatever has changed in the rockbnd2.dat file since 7th September has broken RawkSD 2's ability to update the data file. My thoughts are that the rockbnd2.dat file was previously written in certain parts by rawksd2, but now Rock Band has finally...
I'm going to hope that it's just a bug with this week's rockbnd2.dat and hopefully the problem may sort itself out with next week's DLC.
In the meantime, you can do what I've done and create a second emulated nand (nand2) and put the newest save on that with no DLC (because the DLC loads from...
Hmm, puzzling situation at the moment. I couldn't get any of the latest (August 3rd being the last date that worked) DLC to show up in Rock Band 2 despite it appearing as downloaded in the store (but I am using PC tools...).
So I figured the ROCKBND2.DAT file needed updating, so moved my...
Did you:
- Move the rockbnd2.dat file from your nand, rename it as "data" (remember, not data.dat, you need to change the extension to none)
- replace the "data" file currently in SDPC\rawk\rb2 with your renamed rockbnd2.dat and choose to update SD save in RawkSD 2
- move "data" back to your...
Ho-lee shit. Just ran this exe on each of my DLC tmds (tried compiling it myself earlier, but couldn't get round some errors in xcode) and have just reduced my loading times from:
Without trimmed tmds
Drummer Loading screen - 1:43
In between bits - 0:24
Loading DLC - 3:14
Total - 5:21
to...
marcd2009, thank you so much.
I only just got a guitar to test out all the Hex editing and stuff I'd been doing, all my DLC showed up first time, but my test RawkSD song (Blackhole Sun) didn't, thanks for the fix, it all works A-ok now!
Heh, I'm not au fait with the 360 homebrew/hacking side of things, but the tools you mentioned have given me a couple of good sources to read up on. Thanks.
(and yes I found ArkTool7 )
Hi, on the RawkSD site it's states that:
(Please note: RawkSD does not formally support ripping this game, but is possible. Song titles are included for reference.)
I've done a bit of searching and cannot find anyone that has ripped songs from the 360 version of Guitar Hero 2...does anyone...
